The Power Of The Mind
It is where memories go to dwell forever, all good, bad, and in between. When you look into the storage of memories, you think to yourself, “ was it a memory or a dream?” Most of them are probably memories. Then there is a memory that is actually a dream. It is a dream that follows you, pushes your mind to the limit of human thinking, driving you insane. You try to shake it. Your membranes are spinning so fast in your mind that you cannot think straight. You want to say something, but can’t. You sleep it off or jog to clear your mind. Is it a good or bad dream? You hope it is a good dream. Is it days in a flower filled field or nights alone in a cold, empty room with air vents filled with Smokey embers and voices of people you fear? You open that dream in your brain. You are shaking violently because you are nervous of the mental pain you might endure if it is bad. Your mind goes blank. Blood rushes to your head. Your fingers go numb. You start to feel uneasy and sick. Voices in your head tell you,” It is bad. Goodnight!” You fall asleep and cannot wake. You are only awake in the mind. Sweat unknowingly drips from your hairline as your brain tries to put the puzzle pieces of that terrible dream together. The mental pain is too much. You scream and beg to be let out of this mental prison. Can anyone hear you? Is this really a dream or did it actually happen? You think and come up with one explanation: It is a memory of a dream. That is the wrong answer. It is a memory. You regain feeling in your body as the dream comes to a close. You feel weight on your chest as you open your eyes and it is pitch black. There is an air vent filled with Smokey embers above you, except this time, there are no voices. You look up and see your heart racing out of the body. You feel a coughing fit coming, but you cannot find the energy to cough. A few hours go by and you were thinking about what happened. Why is an air vent always there? You believe that it is a symbol of what is to come. It is actually a symbol of the mind. Your mind enters the vent and locks you inside. That is what happened. All the pain was in there. You think,” what was that dream?” It is your worst nightmare. It is all the mental pain and agony pulled together by the force of mind. You fall back and your mind drags you back into the vent. It all happens again. The pain and beating of the mind. Why is it happening? The answer is clear. The state of one’s mind is equal to more pain than humanly possible. You are finally awake. The same people you fear are In front of you. Your vision is blurry. Your head feels like it was bashed with a stick. You ask yourself,” who is the culprit of this?” The people in front of you answer back, “The mind.” An hour goes by and your vision is clear. Your head no longer hurts. You get up and feel fine. You research what happened and it is clear: Things that are not like they seem. Things like these only exist in the mind.
